Checklist: First 5 Things to Do in Your New Delightree Account

Welcome aboard! Let’s get your system set up for success.

1. Complete Your Delightree Franchisor Training

Before you start assigning tasks or building your Knowledge Base, take a quick tour of the platform from the franchisor's perspective.

Where to find it:

  • Head to the Training Module

  • Click on “My Training”

  • Look for Delightree Franchisor Training and complete the walkthrough

💡 Pro Tip: Completing this first gives you a big-picture view of how your tools connect.

2. Add Your Job Roles

Job roles help you assign the right content to the right team members whether it’s a cashier, manager, or trainer. These roles are fully customizable based on how your business runs.

Where to go:

  • Navigate to Settings > Job Roles

  • Add roles like “General Manager,” “Assistant Manager,” “Franchisee,” etc.

💡 Don’t worry—you can always edit or add more later.

3. Add Your Open or Prelaunch Locations

Please be aware that this step is solely for creating location profiles and will not trigger any invitations to users.

Two ways to do it:

  • Add them manually by going to Locations > + New Location, or + Open Location

  • Use our bulk import template to upload them all at once

Prelaunch locations are not billable and do not have users. Use this status for territories or units sold that are yet to begin the store opening process.

4. Upload Location Documents

Start strong by keeping key documents in one place. Each location can store documents like franchise agreements, leases, and insurance files.

Option 1: Upload by Location

Perfect for organizing documents specific to each site.

How to do it:

  • Go to a specific Location

  • Click the Documents tab

  • Upload or drag-and-drop files

  • Choose between Compliance Docs (for regulated/timed files) or Other Docs (for general info)

  • Set expiration reminders for time-sensitive docs like insurance or permits

Option 2: Use the Compliance Section on the Homepage

Ideal for managing documents across all locations in one central view.

How to do it:

  • Head to the Compliance section from your main dashboard

  • Add or upload documents directly and tag them by location

  • See document status, expiration dates, and gaps from a bird’s-eye view

Documents are accessible both from the Compliance listing and the profiles of individual locations.

5. Review the Knowledge Base Guide & Plan Your Migration

Now’s the time to think about how you want your SOPs, training, and resources to live inside Delightree. Even if your content isn’t ready yet, reviewing the Knowledge Base Guide will help you plan the structure.

  • You can build from scratch or migrate from existing systems with our help
