      Why This Matters

      Team communication just got a whole lot easier! With the new commenting and mentions feature inside Tasks, you can now keep all your discussions, updates, and feedback in one place right where the work happens.

      No more jumping between chats, emails, and spreadsheets to find what was said or who’s responsible. Every message, decision, and update stays connected to its task, creating a clear record that’s easy to reference anytime.

      What’s New

      You can now collaborate directly within any task using built-in comments and mentions:

      • 💬 Public Comments: Share updates, clarifications, or questions visible to everyone working on the task.

      • 🔒 Private Comments: Communicate one-on-one between a supervisor and an assignee — perfect for coaching or sensitive feedback.

      • 👀 Smart Visibility:

        • Supervisors and task creators can start both public and private threads.

        • Assignees see public comments and start private threads with supervisors.

        • Master Admins have full visibility into all comments for transparency.

      • 🔔 Mentions & Notifications: Tag teammates using @name to instantly alert them. Notifications appear in-app and on mobile.

      • 📱 Works Everywhere: Fully functional on desktop and mobile, so you can stay in sync wherever you are.

      This feature centralizes communication and keeps everyone aligned — with no more lost messages or missed context.

      How to Use It

      Ready to get started? Here’s how to collaborate more effectively inside Delightree Tasks:

      1. Open any task and scroll to the Comments section.

      2. Type your message in the text box.

      3. Use @ followed by a teammate’s name to mention and notify them.

      4. Choose whether to make it a public or private comment (if applicable).

      5. Post your comment — everyone tagged will get a real-time alert.

      6. Review the comment history anytime to see decisions, clarifications, and updates tied to that specific task.

      💡 Pro tip: Encourage your team to use mentions instead of side chats to keep communication connected to each task.

      What to Expect

      • All existing task functionality stays the same, you’re just gaining a powerful way to communicate directly inside tasks.

      • Comments remain permanently attached to each task, creating a built-in audit trail for accountability and compliance.

      • Mentioned users will receive instant notifications on both desktop and mobile.

      • This commenting model will expand to Forms and other modules soon, giving you a consistent way to collaborate across Delightree.
