How Ask AI Works
1. Type your question in the search bar
The same search bar you already use. Type a question the way you’d ask a colleague — no special formatting needed. Press Enter for keyword results or tap Ask AI to get a conversational answer without retyping.
2. Ask AI searches your content first
Ask AI searches your existing knowledge bases, forms, training paths, and tasks before anything else. When the answer draws from multiple types of content, results are grouped by source so they’re easy to scan. Each answer shows exactly where it came from — tap any citation to open the original content.
- Search for answers to operational questions like, “What’s our food safety protocol?” or “How do I handle refund requests?”
- AI Search pulls information from your knowledge base, including policies, SOPs, training documents, and tasks.
3. Ask follow-up questions
Answers are conversational. Keep the thread going with follow-up questions, and Ask AI offers 2–3 suggested follow-up chips after each answer to help you dig deeper without starting over.
4. If your content doesn’t have the answer — Delightree Guide steps in
When your own resources don’t cover a question, Ask AI falls back to the Delightree Guide for product how-to guidance and clearly labels the source. You can also manually request a Delightree Guide answer at any time.
5. Still no answer? Open a support ticket without retyping
If Ask AI can’t find an answer, it offers to create a support ticket prefilled with your original question, the conversation so far, and the sources already searched — so you’re not starting from scratch.
A Few Things to Know

Answer quality reflects content quality. Ask AI pulls from what’s already in your Delightree knowledge bases, training, forms, and tasks. Outdated or incomplete content will produce weaker answers. Use this as a signal to keep your content current.

No setup required. Ask AI appears automatically in the existing search bar. Keyword search behavior is unchanged — Ask AI is additive.

Language support: Supports typed questions in English and Spanish, with answers in the same language. Voice input and mic-to-text are not available in this release.

Conversation memory: Ask AI remembers the active conversation thread. Previous chats can be re-opened and continued. An active thread stays restorable for 30 minutes of inactivity within the same browser tab.

How to Get Started 🤓
- Open AI Search: Sign in to your Delightree account and find the AI Search option conveniently located in the search bar at the top of your dashboard.
- Ask a Question: Type your query into the search bar (e.g., “How do I create a new hire checklist?”).
- Review the Answer: The AI will provide a direct response, linking to relevant forms, SOPs, or training materials.
- Take Action: Use the integrated links to jump straight into the necessary task or document.

- Use clear and specific language in your questions to get the most accurate responses.
- Regularly update your Delightree knowledge base to ensure AI Search reflects the latest information.
- Explore search trends and themes in the tool to understand team needs and optimize resources.
