Managing Granular Permissions

Fine-tune exactly what each role can see and do — module by module, action by action.

Managing Granular Permissions in Delightree

  • Delightree's granular permissions system gives you control at the individual action level within each module.
  • For every user role, you can decide precisely what they can create, edit, view, export, or delete — without toggling entire modules on or off.
  • This guide walks through where to configure these settings and lists every available permission, organized by module.
How to Configure Permissions
  1. Go to Settings and open User Roles.
  2. Select the role you want to configure, then click Edit in the top right corner.
  3. Choose a module from the left-hand menu to expand its available permissions.
  4. Toggle individual permissions on or off. Note that some permissions are linked — enabling one may automatically enable another. Refer to the Dependencies note within each module section below.
  5. Click Save. Changes take effect immediately for all users assigned to that role.

Pro Tips

  1. START WITH A TEMPLATE ROLE

Set up one well-configured role (such as General Manager) and duplicate it as a starting point for similar roles rather than building each from scratch.

  2. REVIEW DEPENDENCIES BEFORE SAVING

Some permissions are automatically linked. Check the Dependencies notes within each module section to avoid granting unintended access.

  3. TREAT HIGH RISK PERMISSIONS AS CHECKPOINTS

Permissions labeled High Risk — such as Delete path in Training — should be granted sparingly. Confirm these are intentional before saving a role configuration.

  4. AUDIT ROLES AS YOUR TEAM GROWS

As your location count and team structure scale, revisit role configurations regularly to ensure each level has exactly what it needs for day-to-day operations.

  5. COORDINATE WITH YOUR CUSTOMER SUCCESS MANAGER

Not sure how to structure permissions for your operating model? Your CSM can help you map role configurations to your franchise structure — whether you want tight central control or more flexibility at the location level.
