Mastering Training Path v2: Features & How to Use Them

Learn how to assign, track, and optimize training with automated workflows, skill verification, and real-time reporting.

Training Path 2.0 is designed to streamline onboarding, upskilling, and compliance training while providing flexibility and accountability across different roles. Whether you’re a franchisor managing multiple locations or a franchisee ensuring your team stays trained, this guide will walk you through the key features and how to use them.

1. Understanding Permissions & Access Levels

Permissions in Training Path 2.0 ensure the right people have control over training without disrupting workflows. Here’s what each role can do:

Superadmin (SA)

✅ Create and edit any training path
✅ Assign training across all locations, roles, and job titles
✅ View tracking results for all assignees
✅ Act as a supervisor if assigned

🚫 Cannot cross-train employees
🚫 Cannot supervise cross-trainees

Admin (A)

✅ Create and edit their own training paths
✅ Assign training across all locations, roles, and job titles
✅ View tracking results for paths they have access to
✅ Act as a supervisor if assigned

🚫 Cannot cross-train employees
🚫 Cannot supervise cross-trainees

Location Owner (LO)

✅ Create training paths for their location(s)
✅ Assign training to employees in their location
✅ View tracking and leaderboards for their location
✅ Supervise and cross-train employees in their location

🚫 Cannot edit training paths created by others

Worker (W)

✅ Complete assigned training
✅ Track their training history and earned certificates

🚫 Cannot assign or edit training

2. Skill Verification, Quizzes & Prerequisites

Employees earn certificates immediately upon completion—except when skill verification is required. Here’s how it works:

  • No Skill Verifier → Certificate is awarded immediately.
  • With Skill Verifier → Supervisor must evaluate and approve completion before a certificate is issued.
  • Repeating Training Paths → Supervisors must complete evaluations before the cycle ends, or no certificate will be issued for that cycle.
What else is new? Prerequisite Learning Paths enforce structured learning sequences, preventing employees from skipping essential training.

Supervisors’ Responsibilities

Supervisors (SA, A, LO) must verify skills to ensure employees meet performance standards before certification. Supervisors can:
✅ View training progress
✅ Evaluate employee skills
✅ Approve or deny certification

3. Assigning & Managing Training Paths

Automating Training Enrollment

  • Assign training automatically by job role.
  • Enable cross-training within a location.

5. Tips for Maximizing Training Impact

  • Use quizzes and different quiz types to measure comprehension.
  • Set passing scores to ensure employees retain knowledge.
  • Enable AI-powered search so employees can quickly find answers.
  • Schedule refresher training for ongoing learning.
  • Leverage manager sign-offs for real-world skill validation.

How will this Affect Current Training Paths?

There will be no disruptions to your current training paths!

In 2.0, we have added two new required sections "Category" and "Frequency".

  • Category refers to the training path type (onboarding, customer service, management, etc.) These are custom to your business.
  • Frequency refers to whether the path is one-time vs repeating.
  • All categories for existing paths moving from 1.0:
    • Category will be marked as ‘other’, transferring assignee sets as is.
    • Frequency will be at default settings = not repeating and no deadline
  • Enhance Quizzes – Use different quiz types & add scoring for better tracking.
  • Set Up Refreshers – Schedule recurring training to reinforce key skills.
  • Use Prerequisites & Skill Verifiers – Ensure employees complete necessary steps before advancing.
  • Leverage AI Search – Make it easier for employees to find answers.
  • Require Manager Sign-Offs – Confirm on-the-job application of skills.
  • Automate Cross-Training – Build a more versatile workforce.
  • Track & Optimize – Use Delightree reports to monitor progress and improve training.
