Mute Notifications for Individual Forms

Silence one noisy form without losing notifications from the rest

You can now turn off submission notifications for a specific form without muting Forms notifications entirely. If one high-volume form is generating more alerts than you need, you can turn it off while every other form keeps notifying you as usual.

If you're currently:

  • Getting flooded by notifications from one form that submits dozens of times a day
  • Reluctant to mute the whole Forms module because you still need alerts from other forms
  • Managing many locations or forms and struggling with notification fatigue

Per-form notification controls give you the precision to fix this without losing visibility where it matters.

Who gets notified by default

  • Creators
  • Contributors
  • Location Admins - for responses at their respective location(s) only

How to Manage Your Preferences

You can update your notification preference for a specific form in four places:

  • In the form builder — after selecting 'Publish' while creating or editing a form
  • From the forms listing page — tap the bell icon
  • As a bulk action — select multiple forms and adjust preferences at once
  • From the notification itself — tap Mute notifications for this form directly from a submission alert

How the Master Switch and Per-Form Settings Work Together

The module-level Forms setting remains the master switch; this is found in your Notification Center settings.

Per-form preferences work within it — they can narrow your notifications further, but can't re-enable a form if you've turned off the Forms module entirely.

  • Module On + form On → you receive notifications for that form
  • Module On + form Off → no notifications for that form only
  • Module Off → no form notifications, regardless of per-form settings

Even if Module notifications are turned OFF, you will still continue to receive notifications for form triggers.

A Few Things to Know

No changes by default. All existing forms keep each recipient's current notification behavior. Nothing changes unless you choose to update a specific form.

Bulk action available. If you have many forms to update, use the bulk On/Off action on the forms listing page to adjust preferences across multiple forms at once.

Form Triggers are separate. Muting a form's submission notifications does not affect Form Trigger notifications. If you're a configured trigger recipient, you'll still receive those.

In-app inbox notifications are not yet controllable with this setting — that's planned as a future enhancement. This feature covers Mobile app, SMS, and Email notifications.

Quick Recap

  • Mute submission notifications for any specific form — without muting the whole Forms module
  • Update preferences from the form builder, forms list, in bulk, or from a notification itself
  • Existing forms are unchanged until you decide to update them
  • Form Triggers are not affected
